- 1.On which part will I get a scar? And how big will it be?
- When fat is suctioned from buttocks, a minor skin incision to insert a tube for liposuction will be made by using a scalpel in an area, which can be hidden when you wear panties, or in an inconspicuous area. The scar will be 7mm at the longest. In many cases, it is inconspicuous. When fat is suctioned from the other areas, a skin incision will be made in an inconspicuous area to suction fat. In the lipo-transplanted area, reddish tiny marks of an injection needle will remain for a while. They will gradually disappear, but it sometimes takes more than a month. The mark will become a tiny white dot, and it will be inconspicuous.
- 2.Will fat be suctioned as I wish?
- When we perform a liposuction procedure, we take the total balance of your body into consideration. Whether fat can be suctioned as you wish or not depends on your muscle and bone structures as well as the amount of fat you have, and we will judge it on examination.
- 3.How long will swelling or internal bleeding last on the liposuctioned area?
- Although it depends on individuals or the areas where fat was suctioned, the internal bleeding usually become inconspicuous in about 1 to 2 weeks. The swelling will last for 2 to 3 weeks.
- 4.Will the lipo-transplanted area be sagging downward again?
- It won't happen soon. As you get older, it may sag little by little, but it won't go back to the preoperative state.
- 5.How long will the effects of the procedure last?
- Traditional lipo-transplantation procedures have the disadvantage of having a low survival rate of the injected fat. With our procedure, about the half of the injected fat will remain, because stem cells have an effect of preventing the injected fat from being absorbed. The fat that survives more than six months will remain for a long period of time.
Of course, it will naturally decrease little by little with age.
- 6.Will I feel pain after the operation? And can I sit down immediately after the operation?
- In some cases, pain, similar to strong muscle pain, may last for a few days to 2 weeks in the liposuctioned area. The lipo-transplanted area might be swollen and cause pain for several weeks. It is possible for you to sit down, but you may feel pain.
Excessive compression on the lipo-transplanted area will prevent survival of the transplanted fat. You need to sit on a chair without leaning back too much.
- 7.Can I have the operation on the same day I have a counseling?
- We are sorry but we cannot perform the procedure on the same day you have a counseling. Because we place great importance on the safety of the procedures we provide, we ask you to have a preoperative examination, and it takes time before you receive the results.
Therefore, we cannot provide any operations on the day of the counseling.
- 8.How long will it take for me to be able to work after having the operation?
- If your job is sedentary, you can work from the next day you have the operation. However, you may have pain that is similar to muscle pain for a few days to two weeks. If your job involves a lot of physical activities, we recommend you to get about a week off work.
- 9.Will I have a conspicuous, uneven contours on the liposuctioned area?
- In the usual liposuction procedures, fat will be suctioned from one area and in some cases rather conspicuous, uneven contours might be created in that area, but in our procedures, fat will be suctioned from several parts of the body, so that there will not be any conspicuous uneven contour left on the body.
